I thought my iPod was gone forever. Sold to a slimy handed pawn shop broker in exchange for money to be used for illegal purposes. It was a scene out of Sin City. Needless to say, I was shocked when he principal handed it over to me today, mostly unharmed.
Personally, I think it had more to deal with peer pressure than actual guilt, but who am I to judge? I’m just glad it’s back. My music is all there, and I’m happy once again.
Somehow, I suspect that the person who is responsible for the theft of the iPod originally is someone that I never would have suspected. Someone that I would have trusted. Someone I liked. I also suspect that person who is responsible to its return is someone that I (again) never would have suspected. Someone I might have even suspected as the thief. Someone who has made mistakes in the past.
I know I learned a few lessons about people, and I hope the thief learned a few as well.
