Last year, Juan made a papier-mâché monkey in art class. I say it’s a monkey, but it looks more like a tootsie roll with arms. I loved this ugly monkey so much that Juan gave it to me, and it has taken a place of honor in my classroom. I named him Lil’ Juan.
This year, I was was wondering how to go over procedures in my classroom, when I decided to use Lil’ Juan.
I think I have cemented my dorkdom.
(Argh. I’ll have to upload later. I promise I will.)
I don’t know how effective it will be, but it has to be better than me lecturing for 45 minutes. Besides, I think it will tell the students what they need to know.
